Cyrus Capital Partners, L.P. is a registered investment adviser and was formed in 2005. It is the successor firm to Och-Ziff Freidheim ("OZF"), created in 1999 by Stephen Freidheim, Daniel Och and the Ziff family to manage the distressed, capital structure arbitrage, special situations and direct lending activities of Och-Ziff and OZF. Effective January 1, 2005, Steve Freidheim and his partners assumed all of the controlling interests of OZF and changed the firm's name to Cyrus Capital Partners.
