Founded in 2012, Sailing Capital is the first major private equity fund on the global stage with its initial capital raised domestically in Chinese Yuan (RMB). Sailing was initiated by Shanghai International Group (SIG) mainly for investment overseas. Our LPs include some of the most successful and influential companies in China. Our underlying fund size is currently set to reach RMB 50 billion (US$ 8 billion) and we have successfully completed our first round of fundraising of RMB 12 billion (US$ 1.9 billion).
