Overview

After managing a factory for Allied Signal with over 1,200 employees, Mike Crill joined a young Software.com as their CFO. While there, Mike observed that although every business needs a CFO, in the beginning stages they don't necessarily need one full time. After a year there, Mike founded Atlas in 1996 to be that part-time CFO for tech companies. The goal of Atlas was to work with start-ups: providing them with high-level CFO expertise that would otherwise be unobtainable, while respecting their needs to be cash conservative.
