Spin is a venture-backed transportation company based in SOMA, San Francisco. Founded at the end of 2016 by three friends who wanted a better way to get around their hometown of San Francisco, Spin's first product reimagined bikeshare. The company was purchased by Ford Motors in November 2018. Ford then sold Spin to Tier Mobility in March 2022.
