HotelRunner was founded in 2011 by two colleagues and former managers from IBM. During their endless business travels, and enterprise projects, they realized a certain need and a gap in the industry. The majority of the accommodations in the world were offline and the travel tech market was incredibly fragmented. Thus, the vision of HotelRunner that has echoed to this day has been shaped: bringing the travel industry together and creating a bigger travel economy.
