The Importance of Education and Mentorship

From Tupperware to Avon, network marketing businesses have a lot of appeal. But what makes them a sure bet? Read this article to learn about the importance of training, education and mentorship at network marketing companies.
Starting a business via network marketing is an attractive way to try it out in business.
It usually is very inexpensive to start with almost no risk involved and the income potential is seemingly limitless. But if you're new to the world of network marketing it is important you understand what makes a good network marketing business: the education system.
Before getting involved in a network marketing business keep an eye out for the following two things which are vital to your success in a network marketing business:
The education is more important than the profit model
If you're new to the industry of network marketing finding the right business model is tough. There are a ton of network marketing businesses and they are all different which makes differentiating them from one another very difficult. I implore you before you take a look at any compensation plan for any of those businesses to find out how good their education system is.
This poses another question: how do you measure the quality of an education system? By the quality of the people it produces. Do they have an education system that is focused on personal development? Do they teach things like integrity, accountability, relationships, etc? If you can, get around some of the people who have been consistently using the education system. They would be the best representation of who you would become if you joined that business. You soon learn that success only follows education in network marketing businesses and the people who are the most educated are generally the ones who eventually make the money. But a great business will transform you from the inside out even if you're not making money. Focus on the quality of the education, and then the business.
Make sure there is a mentorship program
One of the biggest reasons for failure in business is a lack of good mentorship. And when I talk about mentorship, I don't mean the type of mentorship that your boss talks about at work. I'm referring to people who have been where you're trying to go and are willing to help you get to where they are right now.
Make sure to find a network marketing business that provides personal support. Without a mentorship program in place you will waste both your money and your time. Usually the compensation plans are designed in such a way that unless the newest person in the business is able to make a dollar the people that bring them into the business don't make a dime. Because of this you get the purest form of servant leadership possible in a business arena with a multitude of people that want your success since your success is inevitably their success.
