Thinking about opening a Church Of Divine Man church? We tell you what you need to know to get started.
The Church of Divine Man
The Church of Divine Man was founded by Lewis Bostwick in tandem with the Berkeley Psychic Institute. Bostwick, a psychic and teacher, strongly believed that each person has the potential to manifest psychic abilities through the nurturing of a mystic consciousness.
Today, the Berkeley Psychic Institute trains adherents in psychic development and the use of their innate psychic abilities. It is also provides seminary training for ministers in the Church of Divine Man. Once ordained, Church of Divine Man ministers are permitted to conduct weekly worship services and other events within the Church of Divine Man network.
Promoting Your Church Through Special Events
Many Church of Divine Man parishes conduct or participate in special events (e.g. psychic fairs, seminars, etc.) to promote their parish and forge relationships with the general public. Marketing through special events isn't a new concept -- small businesses have been doing it for years and it is a time-tested way to communicate key messages to targeted audiences.
A first-rate special event is designed to leave a lasting impression on event participants. In some circumstances, a special event can be a teaser that encourages participants to engage with the parish at a deeper level. In other cases, it is simply a method for introducing your parish to the local community. Either way, it's critical for religious entrepreneurs in the Church of Divine Man tradition to identify the purpose of their event and invest themselves in its flawless execution.
