Good News For Small Businesses Can Be Found In The Cloud

Small businesses are getting better access to productivity applications, such as Wordpress, SugarCRM and Droopal. A partnership between GoDaddy and Parallels is making it easier for small businesses to get access to IT apps that are powered by cloud computing.
GoDaddy.com, the leading website domain registrar, and Parallels, a cloud-enablement company, announced a partnership recently that will likely improve the web presence of many small businesses.
Many of GoDaddy's 7.5 million active users are small businesses. Parallels Small Business Panel provides GoDaddy users with an easy-to-use interface that allows for fast installation of applications aimed at improving productivity.
GoDaddy users can now user Wordpress, SugarCRM and Droopal, among others, for free thanks to the new affiliation with Parallels.
"Offering Parallels Small Business Panel at Go Daddy helps small- to mid-sized businesses receive the advantages larger companies do with similar, advanced products for a cost small businesses can afford," Go Daddy president and COO Warren Adelman said. "These businesses don't need an IT administrator to take advantage of the Small Business Panel because of the easy wizard-driven interface."
Much like larger corporations, small businesses will benefit from reduced IT costs. The Parallels interface eliminates the need for some IT spending, while increasing potential benefit from a website.
Cloud computing is among the leading trends in global IT solutions. Goldman Sachs reported recently that 58 percent of companies are currently using or considering a cloud-based platform.
