Local college gives entrepreneurs advice.
For small business owners in one California community, help is on the way.
At Southwestern College's Small Business Seminar and International Trade Center, interested entrepreneurs are being offered free one-on-one tutoring opportunities from experts in the field. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the news for entrepreneurs will bring people in from all over the area to take advantage of the new opportunities.
One of the small business owners taking advantage of the opportunity is Roslyn Allen-Edward. She told the news source that the Seminar and Center had helped her when she needed it most.
"They have helped me with a business plan, showed me how to save, helped me with a lease," she said in an interview with the Union-Tribune. "They have helped me in every aspect. All the education I was lacking has been provided. They have been an anchor and a support. I would've never been able to be successful without Mr. Martinez and the others."
Small business owners in New Hampshire weren't quite as lucky as their West Coast counterparts. The Women's Business Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire recently announced that it would be closing its doors after 15 years in business, the New Hampshire Business Review reports.
