Small businesses can prepare themselves for new hire paperwork with onboarding forms from PrimePay.
New hire forms provided by payroll service PrimePay will give small businesses a kit containing necessary onboarding forms as part of National Small Business Week.
The paperwork package is good news for small businesses, and will ensure that a smaller company makes a winning first impression when a new employee begins their work experience. The kit includes a new employee orientation checklist, W-4 form, 1-9 form, sample employee handbook, sample confidentiality agreement and medical plan selection and enrollment form, according to PrimePay's website.
"Many clients were using copies of copies of copies for some of their employee enrollment paperwork," said Nancy Mullin, manager of Marketing & Interactive Services at PrimePay.
A poll of onboarding practices by the Society of Human Resource Management taken in April found that 73 percent of companies surveyed either agree or strongly agree that the onboarding process has become longer and more intensive over the past five years.
Many of PrimePay's clients struggled with creating standardized new hire forms for employees to fill out on their first day, finding that lack of communication may hinder employee retention. The survey also found that 88 percent of companies ranked communication efforts as extremely important for assisting with performance, engagement and retention of new hires.
