Julio C. Casiano named to leadership position at Connecticut SBA
Thanks to a recent promotion, the Connecticut branch of the U.S. Small Business Administration will soon be getting new leadership to help run its operation.
The New England Regional Administrator for the SBA, Jeanne A. Hulit, announced that Julio C. Casiano would be appointed the assistant district director for the Connecticut SBA. Casiano comes to the position with a long resume of business-related experience. Starting in 1975, he began a career in banking as a credit analyst at Bankers Trust in New York City. After moving to Connecticut in 1986, Casiano became a staple in the community, working in the areas of commercial lending, community development and market management.
“Julio is the ideal person for this newly created position in the Connecticut District Office as he exemplifies great leadership traits as well as his proven excellent rapport within the business community of Connecticut,” said Bernard M. Sweeney of the SBA Connecticut District Office.
Sweeney has been making other news for small business in Connecticut, where he will soon be hosting an advice conference for entrepreneurs. The SBA's district director in the Nutmeg State recently announced that he would be presenting at the "Outlook for Small Business in Connecticut" conference later this month.
