Colorado Rep. Recognizes Importance Of Small Businesses

The impact of small businesses was highlighted recently by Colorado representative and House Small Business Committee member Mike Coffman.
Representative Mike Coffman of Colorado recently highlighted the significant impact of small businesses in recognition of National Small Business Week. Coffman, who is a former entrepreneur himself, is also a member of the House Small Business Committee.
"Small businesses are the job creators that help put food on the table for millions of Americans," Coffman said. "As a former small business owner, I know firsthand the adversity and challenges small businesses face." He called Small Business Week an important opportunity to pay tribute to the role small companies play.
There was recently a hearing held in Washington, D.C., that offered some exciting news for entrepreneurs. As part of the hearing, Coffman hosted Brian Greenley, a Maaco franchisee and one of 15 small business owners who participated in the hearing. These entrepreneurs talked about their success and discussed the challenges of small business ownership in the current economy.
The U.S. Small Business Administration has also celebrated entrepreneurship through its events from May 23-29. Earlier in the week, the administration named its National Small Business Person of the Year: Waymon Armstrong, owner of Engineering & Computer Simulations in Florida.
