The SBA's podcasts will feature news for small business owners interested in learning more about rules for exporting their products overseas. The downloadable tools will feature interviews with knowledgeable members of the business community form Uganda, Cameroon and Bahrain. They will also include instructions on what a company must do to follow exporting laws overseas.

"U.S. small businesses looking to increase sales and profit should look beyond the U.S. borders. Nearly 96 percent of the world's consumers live outside the U.S. and small businesses need to factor that into their strategic planning," said SBA Administrator Karen Mills.

During his State of the Union Address, President Obama said that the National Export Initiative would seek to double the amount of exports that come from businesses in the United States. Obama has said that the increase in exports would create 2 million jobs.

In recent weeks President Obama has been pushing for Congress to enact a $30-billion fund for small businesses. Despite his urging, many Republicans have voiced opposition to the new spending plan.
