Service Company President Honored With Small Business Award

President of Ed Jacobs and Associates becomes 13th recipient of the Small Business Person of the Year award.
To kick off Business Development Month, the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce named Ed Jacobs its 13th recipient of the Small Business Person of the Year award, according to The Cleveland Banner.
Jacobs is the president and founder of Ed Jacobs and Associates and a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, the news source adds.
"Ed Jacobs has built a very successful small business with integrity in Cleveland while keeping his focus on his customers, his community and his family," Andy Figlestahler, partner at Ed Jacobs & Associates, told the media outlet.
Jacobs' company delivers personal service in the areas of insurance, employee benefits and financial planning, and currently manages more than 250 group Employee Benefit Plans across the Southeast.
This small business news honor is bestowed upon owners whose companies portray staying power, growth in number of employees, increase in sales or unit volume, innovativeness of product or services offered, positive response to adversity and evidence of contribution by the nominee to aid community-oriented projects.
The Greater Southwest Development Corporation notes that Business Development Month is a series of business workshops that emphasize business planning, financial packaging and human resources practices.
