The SBCA awards exemplar SMBs.
The Small Business Commerce Association recently announced the businesses it believes have demonstrated the role of SMBs in the economy. It may be useful news for small business owners that the SBCA linked SMB value to efficacy in addressing community needs. This year, Healthy Fast Food came out on top.
The SBCA chose winning companies based on nominees from information taken from monthly surveys administered by the SBCA as well as customer rankings. Most importantly, the top-ranking SMBs are valuable assets to their communities.
Hank Cartwright, chairman and chief executive officer of Healthy Fast Food, stated, "We are very pleased to have Healthy Fast Food and our U-Swirl self-serve frozen yogurt stores distinguished as one of the best businesses in the food service industry." He believes this recognition is a direct result of the effort his U-Swirl stores put into customer satisfaction.
Healthy Fast Food's U-Swirl stores allow guests to pay by the ounce instead of by the cup size. Moreover, they try to tap into a new market by providing a healthier alternative to a coffee shop hang outs, drawing consumers in with friendly service and couches.
Healthy Fast Food's innovative options for customers draw in a diverse clientele, and they might be a useful example for other SMB owners; the Microsoft Small Business Center suggest the business leaders of tomorrow will be the ones who "transform cold clients into warm prospects."
