In the latest example of SMB-focused promotions, Office Depot and Verizon have partnered to offer small businesses a discount on office supplies.
Office Depot and Verizon have ramped up their small business-focused marketing efforts, announcing this week a partnership that will allow small businesses to receive discounts on office supplies.
"Today, small businesses need all the help they can get, and we're doing our best to assist them," said Monte Beck, Verizon's vice president for small business products and services.
Businesses that are members of the Verizon Alliance Discount Program, provided through the company's Small Business Center, can receive up to 12 percent off on Office Depot products as well as free delivery.
The good news for small business owners is that SMB resource centers such as the Verizon Small Business Center and other similar promotions have become a popular marketing tactic for businesses, often providing small business owners with discounts, webinars and other resources for business growth.
The small business market can be an important demographic simply because of its size and spending power - the Small Business Administration reports that businesses with 500 or fewer employees represent 99.9 percent of all U.S. businesses.
