Franchise ownerships in the nutrition and weight loss supplement market continue to surpass market expectations.
In recent franchise news, franchise ownerships in the nutrition and weight loss supplement market continue to surpass market expectations. Reportedly, Max Muscle Sports Nutrition has proven a leader in this sector, opening stores in record numbers in 2009 and boasting 29 new stores already in construction for 2010.
Max Muscle gained a lot of publicity earlier this year following Food & Drug Administration and Drug Enforcement Agency crackdowns on the quality of nutrition supplements. Both organizations spotlighted Max Muscle for its "Good Manufacturing Practices," following which both franchise-unit and in-store sales climbed.
Experts say the sports nutrition and weight loss industry is projected to grow at a rate of $1.3 to $1.9 billion per year over the next five years.
Patrick Senders, president of Peak Franchising, predicts Max Muscle will continue to be a leader in the expanding market because of their unique education and nutrition planning platform. "It's a savvy entrepreneur's opportunity of - quite literally - a lifetime," he says.
The national trend for healthcare and exercise may come from dual efforts of the American Medical Association to issue nationwide directives that Americans need daily multivitamins and President Obama advocating "eating clean." Burgeoning entrepreneurs, take note.
