Written by Anna Lempereur for Gaebler Ventures
There are many new gadgets out there that can be very useful for the savvy entrepreneur. Here are some of the latest picks that may be right for you.
One of the perks of being an entrepreneur is getting your hands on some of the latest pieces of technology, and using them on the job to make your work organized and your life easier.
There are tons of new gadgets that are must-haves for the savvy entrepreneur, so let's take a look at some of them and see how they will help keep you on track with your business:
BlackBerry 8820
This stylish phone includes many features, such as integrated WiFi with high-speed connection as well as email, messaging, and an organizer. With the BlackBerry 8820, you will be able to view Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDFs, use TeleNav Maps, and store up to 2GB of memory with the microSD™ memory slot. The trackball navigation is easy to use, so don't be intimidated if the BlackBerry is new to you. This gadget is great for any entrepreneur to keep organized, get work done, and stay in touch with employees and other entrepreneurs.
iPhone 3G
One of the hottest gadgets to own, the iPhone is now available with 3G of memory, meaning that you can do as much multitasking as surfing the web while on a phone call. Features include high-speed Internet connection, maps with GPS, Safari web browser, and a 3.5-inch color screen to enjoy music and videos. The iPhone also includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, so you can access email, contacts, and a calendar that you can take anywhere. If you are looking for a handheld device with enough memory to complete all of your tasks at once, this may be right for you.
SouthWing SA505 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones
When it comes to Bluetooth headsets, you can't go wrong with a SouthWing. We are big fans of the SouthWing SH241, which offers some really nice features for Bluetooth headset users. This stylish Bluetooth headset include a whisper mode which identifies the incoming caller's phone number audibly, one-touch access to a favorite number, and auto call pickup. Recently, we had a chance to try out the Southwing SA505 Bluetooth stereo headphones, and we give them a big thumbs up. You can talk and listen to your favorite music with the same device, and the sound quality is excellent. Is it useful for work? Arguably. But every entrepreneur needs to recharge, and this is a great way to merge business with pleasure in one gadget.
Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset
Plantronics is another good source for Bluetooth headsets. This lightweight earpiece offers you comfort as well as the ability to stay in touch with your colleagues in a stylish way. The simple VFrame design delivers crisp sound quality and AudioIQ noise control technology so you can hear your calls as clearly as possible. It includes a carrying case with a rechargeable battery that lasts from five to seven hours each charge, so you can stay in touch on the go. Whether you're in the car or walking down the street, this headset will keep you in contact with the rest of the world, and you won't have to miss a call.
