Running a Big Boy franchise takes entrepreneurial drive and commitment, prior restaurant experience preferred. It also takes a minimum of $750,000 met work and available investment equity of $450,000 per location. Multi-unit development operations are available in certain areas.
It takes 12-18 months minimum to open a Big Boy franchise. Franchise agreements are granted for 20 years, with an initial franchise fee of $40,000. Royalty fees are 4% of gross sales and marketing fees are 3% of gross sales.
