Microsoft is equipping small business owners with free virus protection solutions.
Small businesses concerned about their computer security will soon have a brand-new way to protect their valuable data, thanks to a recent announcement from Microsoft.
The technology giant recently made technology news for small business when it partnered with Symantec in order to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to get a free copy of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition for every Windows 7 Professional license they buy.
"We're excited to let you know that today we're also working with Symantec and PC Mall, a major U.S. reseller of technology products, services and solutions to small businesses, to extend free security software to those larger small businesses with up to 50 PCs and at least one server," said Microsoft's Sandrine Skinner in a statement. "We think this is yet another great reason for small businesses to migrate to Windows 7 Professional with confidence."
Data protection is an important issue for small businesses all over the country. A recent study by Trend Micro revealed that 69 percent of business owners cited viruses as a serious threat.
