Good news for small business owners itching to get the new iPhone - it may soon be just a regular business expense.>
Business-related iPhone applications are increasingly popular, enabling small business owners to be constantly connected and on top of business operations wherever they go, said the Wall Street Journal.
The newspaper reported that Apple has been targeting small businesses in their iPhone marketing, particularly with a television ad campaign featuring business applications.
Roger Etner, head of telecom research at Nielsen, told the Journal that business-related iPhone use is more popular with small businesses than with medium or large businesses.
The Apple application store features several business tool applications, including real-time stock market quotes through Bloomberg, mobile versions of brokerage account websites, automatically generated expense reports, and loan calculators.
Other applications include invoice generators, client-billing trackers, revenue monitors and Excel spreadsheet generators, reported the news provider.
With businesses and consumers alike clamoring to purchase the latest iPhone tools, the paid iPhone application market has experienced enormous growth, though only in its second year - the Washington Post reported that the sector has received more than $100 million in investments.
