Survey reveals majority of small business owners worry about expensive process
According to one recent survey, small business owners around the country are hesitant to obtain legal services, despite needing them, because of the high cost associated with the process.
A survey conducted by Rocket Lawyer found that 51 percent of entrepreneurs said that they avoided seeking out legal help because of the price tag and 25 percent said that legal matters were the biggest concern of their company. The survey, which queried 1,000 small business owners, also revealed that 52 percent of small business owners said that the president's latest efforts to provide better access to credit had not helped them do so.
"Running a small business is always a challenge, especially when the business is just getting started. Listen to small business owners, like we did in our survey, and they say that legal risks weigh on their minds as a key factor for their success or failure. That's why Rocket Lawyer exists - to make it simpler and less expensive to understand and do something about everyday legal issues," said Charley Moore, founder and chairman of Rocket Lawyer when discussing the news for entrepreneurs.
Rocket Lawyer has made news in recent months by announcing a brand new investor. In June, the company announced $7 million in equity financing from Investor Growth Capital in order to help the legal service provider expand.
